Details of Staff in the Home
The Care Centre employs a Registered Manager, Clinical Lead Manager, Registered Nurses (RGNs), Care Assistants, Activities Coordinator, 2 Cooks, 3 House Keepers and a Full time Handyman.
The Homes staff are selected for their qualities of reliability, integrity, skill, friendliness and professionalism. They are carefully screened and references are always checked thoroughly prior to employment. All staff are subject to DBS clearance and at least two references. During induction all staff are trained in-house by experienced, qualified, senior staff in the following critical subjects:
- The Rights of Service Users
- Health and Safety including Fire Regulations
- Care Assistants Responsibilities
The home will ensure that all Care Assistants hold a minimum of QCF level 2 in Care. All new members of staff must train to achieve this level of qualification.
The Home also sends all staff on external and Internal training courses for such topics as Care Certificate Standards, Food Hygiene, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, Care of the Elderly, First Aid, Drugs Practice, Care of Dementia Patients, Infection Control, Health and Safety, DOLS, SOVA etc.
